Somerset Airport Mourns Dan Dameo

It is with a heavy heart we say farewell to an old friend of Somerset Airport, Dan Dameo. Dan was a fixture at SMQ (even when it was N52) flying everything, from Bonanzas to Corsairs, but mostly his beloved T-6. Dan was an avid warbird aviator; he was a member of the renown "Six of Diamonds" aerobatic team.
Visitation for Dan Dameo will be at the Cuocco Funeral home, 10 West End Ave Somerville, on June 2nd, 2026 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Service will be held on Wednesday June 3rd, at 10:30 am at St John's Episcopal Church 158 West High Street in Somerville.

Spent time in CAP here with a "Krazy Kraut" Who rang out a CAP 172 like it never has been before or since... he said FLY the darn thing! I miss you Herr Lutz! (I think you might have bent that airframe LOL)
