Somerset Airport has Flight Instructor of the Year - 5/27/08

On May 15th a capacity crowd filled the hangar at Somerset Airport to see Bridgewater Resident, Byron Hamby receive the 2007 Certified Flight Instructor of the Year award from the FAA Allentown Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). Mr. Hamby's award was part of a full evening which included a Pilot's Flight Safety Seminar and renowned aviation author Jack Elliot was on hand to autograph copies of his new book, "Adventures in Flying"... read more

Mr. Dan Walker, and Mrs. Ellen Parker, chose this years recipient of the George Walker Scholarship.

We wish Congratulations to Mr. Michael Rogatchev.

Michael is a senior at Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and is going to Emery Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida come the September semester.

We have continue to watch Michael grow in his aviation skills, and knowledge, and we look forward to him completing his pilot training with us before he goes of to college said Mr. Dan Walker.
